Opera 6

Opera 6 is one of many POP3/IMAP email clients available for the Windows OS. The basic setup instruction to work with email here are listed for you to use this email client.

From the Email menu, choose New accounts. This will open the Email account properties box, where you will want to enter the following:

Account Tab

Account name: Your Account Name
Full name: Your Name
Email address: Your Email Address
Organization: (Optional)
Reply-To: (Optional)

Servers Tab

Incoming

Server: yoursite.com
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Username: Your Email Username
Password: Your Email Password

Outgoing

Server: yoursite.com
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25

Server Authentication

Opera 6 does not support Server Authentication, which you'll need to send email through our servers. However, the following work-around is posted on their site and copied here) under their Knowledge Base. Check the following options under the Outgoing Tab:

Queueing

Queue e-mail (do not send immediately)
Send queued e-mail after checking e-mail

Congratulations, you've now setup Opera 6 to use your email account. Repeat the above steps to setup further email accounts.

*After completing these steps you should be able to send and receive email via this account. If you can't send emails that means your ISP is most likely blocking your Outgoing Mail server port 25 (default). You can change that port to 26 if you have Linux hosting with us or to port 465 if you have Windows hosting with us.
